Caring for your
new tattoo.

Your tattoo has been covered with a Saniderm/Recovery bandage for optimal healing. This bandage should be left on for a few hours up to four days.

Since the bandage is transparent, you can easily monitor the healing process.

On the first day, the area may resemble the look of a soy sauce packet, while on the second day, you may notice a plasma-like grey substance under the bandage. This is a normal part of the healing process.

Look for any signs of redness, heat or leakage. If you're unsure about the condition of your healing tattoo or notice any of these symptoms, it's best to remove the bandage, gently wash the area and let it air dry.

Always use an unscented mild soap for washing. After air drying, apply a thin layer of an unscented lotion, Aquaphor or a similar healing balm to keep the tattoo moisturized.

It is important not to touch the tattoo between cleanings to avoid the chance of introducing bacteria to the area. Additionally, avoid soaking the tattoo for at least two weeks to ensure that it heals properly and the ink settles as expected.
